Microsoft buying Activision Blizzard
As originally reported by the Wall Street Journal and then followed up by the official announcement, Microsoft is buying Activision Blizzard for a whopping $70 billion.
This is following up years of reports of sexual harassment at the studio and could be a contributing factor in the sale. This could mean an eventual restructuring of the studio to continue under the Xbox name.
As of right now, this is reported to be the biggest acquisition in video game history after Take Two's purchase of Zynga earlier this year.
