Vault of the Incarnates Raid
Taking part in Dragonflight Season 1 will be the expansion's first raid, Vault of the Incarnates.
Known as the Titan prison that used to hold the Incarnates for millennia, the Primalists, led by Raszageth, look to liberate her siblings in order to purge the world of the Titans' influence. In response, Azeroth's champions have to assault the impregnable fortress and break their defenses to put a stop to Raszageth and the Primalists' plans.
This raid will go live immediately as Season 1 launches and as opposed to past raid releases where the Normal and Heroic versions were accessible in the first week and Mythic in the second, all of the raid's difficulties will be accessible from day one.
Here's the release schedule:
- Week of December 12: Normal, Heroic, and Mythic Vault of the Incarnates will open with the weekly maintenance for each region
- Week of December 19: Vault of the Incarnates Raid Finder Wing 1 opens
- Week of January 2: Vault of the Incarnates Raid Finder Wing 2 opens
- Week of January 16: Vault of the Incarnates Raid Finder Wing 3 opens
Cross-Faction Mythic and Hall of Fame
Cross-Faction Mythic will be available from the start for Vault of the Incarnates.
Because of this, Hall of Fame entries will require at least 16 out of the 20 raiders to be from the same guild and faction to be eligible for the rewards it gives.

WoW Dragonflight Season 1 New Mythic+ Dungeon Rotation
Dragonflight Season 1 will feature a brand-new Mythic+ dungeon rotation.
In the season, players will be able to enter and complete four dungeons from Dragonflight and four dungeons that will be returning from previous expansions, namely Legion, Warlords of Draenor, and Mists of Pandaria.
Here's the full list of dungeons:
- Ruby Life Pools
- The Nokhud Offensive
- The Azure Vault
- Algeth’ar Academy
- Halls of Valor (Legion expansion)
- Court of Stars (Legion expansion)
- Shadowmoon Burial Grounds (Warlords of Draenor expansion)
- Temple of the Jade Serpent (Mists of Pandaria expansion)
It's worth noting that none of these Mythic+ dungeons will have loot right off the bat in Week 1.
Mythic+ Dungeon Affixes
For Season 1, players can expect the Necrotic and Inspiring affixes to not make an appearance. In its place, will be brand-new affixes one of which the developers detailed—Thundering.
This new affix will be a mix of several others already implemented with a twist. Its description reads as follows:
- Thundering - Raszageth marks players with Mark of Wind or Mark of Lightning, granting them 15% increased damage and healing done for 15 sec. Coming into contact with the opposing mark neutralizes the effect on both players.
After 15 sec marked players are afflicted with Primal Overload, stunning them and inflicting 9 Nature damage every 1 sec for 8 sec. - Lightning Strike - Raszageth's storm causes lightning strikes that inflict 20 Nature damage to players within 4 yds and stuns them for 1 sec.
The storm's energy infuses players with Mark of Wind or Mark of Lightning.
Players can expect this new affix to be a part of Dragonflight Season 1.
Dragonflight Season 1 Rewards
The season that kicks off Dragonflight will of course come with tons of rewards.
This includes familiar exclusive ones such as Ahead of the Curve and Cutting Edge for raids, Keystone Master achievements for Mythic+ dungeons, rewards for Mythic+, Gladiator rewards and titles for PvP, and much more.
