Two weeks after the expansion's official release, World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is introducing its first season, Dragonflight Season 1.
The new season will introduce the expansion's first raid, Vault of the Incarnates, a brand-new Mythic+ dungeon rotation—coupled with some changes—, the expansion's first PvP season, and much more.
All leveled up and geared up, players are chomping at the bits for Dragonflight's first PvE and PvP content. It's time to count down to its release.

World of Warcraft: Dragonflight's first season is finally live!
Players can now enjoy the expansion's first raid, Vault of the Incarnates, a brand-new Mythic+ dungeon rotation, the first PvP season, four World Bosses, and much more.

WoW Dragonflight Season 1 Release Time & Date
World of Warcraft: Dragonflight Season 1 will go live on the week of Monday, December 12, 2022, releasing after each region's respective weekly scheduled maintenance.
The first region that will be receiving WoW Dragonflight Season 1 will be the US.
Players can expect the update to be in-game following the weekly reset maintenance. Typically the weekly reset brings servers down from 10:00 a.m. (7:00 a.m. PST) EST to 11:00 a.m. EST (8:00 a.m. PST), however, this could change.
Instead, maintenance could be scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. EST (7:00 a.m. PST) to end at 6:00 p.m. EST (3:00 p.m. PST). The length of this server downtime is a rough estimate based on previous releases, meaning that servers could go live before or after the time allotted by Blizzard.

Dragonflight Season 1 (US Release)
European region players can expect Dragonflight Season 1 to go live after the scheduled maintenance beginning at 03:00 and ending at 04:00 CEST.

WoW Dragonflight Season 1 Content
Taking part in Dragonflight Season 1 is tons of PvE and PvP content players are looking forward to.
The season will introduce the expansion's first raid, Vault of the Incarnates, a brand-new Mythic+ rotation, the expansion's first PvP season, and more.
Vault of the Incarnates Raid
Taking part in Dragonflight Season 1 will be the expansion's first raid, Vault of the Incarnates.
It's known as the Titan prison that used to hold the Incarnates for millennia and now, Primalists, led by Raszageth, are looking to liberate her siblings. In response, Azeroth's champions have to assault the impregnable fortress and break their defenses to put a stop to Raszageth and the Primalists' plans.
Players can expect a bit of a difference compared to past releases. Once Season 1 goes live, the Normal, Heroic, and Mythic versions of Vault of the Incarnates will open with the weekly maintenance for each region, LFR wings will still be opening week-to-week. Additionally, Cross-Faction Mythic raiding will be available from the start.

New Mythic+ Dungeon Rotation
Dragonflight Season 1 will feature a brand-new Mythic+ dungeon rotation. Players will be able to enter and complete four dungeons from Dragonflight and four dungeons that will be returning from previous expansions, namely Mists of Pandaria, Warlords of Draenor, and Legion.
Here's the full list of dungeons:
- Ruby Life Pools
- The Nokhud Offensive
- The Azure Vault
- Algeth’ar Academy
- Halls of Valor (Legion expansion)
- Court of Stars (Legion expansion)
- Shadowmoon Burial Grounds (Warlords of Draenor expansion)
- Temple of the Jade Serpent (Mists of Pandaria expansion)
All of these dungeons will run on a combination of 12 total affixes depending on the Mythic+ key level.
These affixes include Fortified, Tyrannical, Bolstering, Bursting, Raging, Sanguine, Spiteful, Explosive, Grievous, Quaking, Storming, and the seasonal affix, Thundering, which only appears in keys level 10 and above.

New PvP Season & Primal Storms
Also as a part of WoW Dragonflight Season 1, players can expect the game's next PvP season. Additionally, the Primal Storms event which was prominent during Dragonflight's pre-patch will return.
Similar to how it functioned previously, players will have to go defend against Primalist forces, however, instead of doing so in the Eastern Kingdoms or Kalimdor, they will take on the Primalists across the Dragon Isles.
They will drop Elemental Overflow which can be used to purchase item level 359 gear that can be upgraded to 385 and a unique mount.
