WoW Classic has been a hit with gamers everywhere for a long time and at last the Wrath of the Lich King expansion from 2008 is once again available for WoW Classic players.
An official blog post from Blizzard said: "You will again get to explore bone-chilling lands, storm Icecrown Citadel, and halt the Lich King's baleful efforts."
WoW Classic WotLK
The WoW Classic WotLK is now available for players everywhere. The expansion arrived on 26 September 2022 so it has been out for a while.
There is plenty of new content that both veterans and newcomers will enjoy with the WotLK expansion in WoW Classic.
Heroes will start their journey in Northrend, either in Borean Tundra or Howling Fjord, and adventure through the grim frozen north. As with the original, classic five-player raids like Azjol-Nerub are available. You can also lay siege to Naxxramas as a 10- or -25-player raid, an update from its original 40-player raid.
Best of all though, this expansion is available at no additional cost to those that subscribe to World of Warcraft.
A better experience
There have also been some changes for players, both new and existing, to improve things.
The WotLK expansion brings a new level cap, moving it up to 80. For those that didn't play Burning Crusade Classic a Level 70 Boost will allow players to go right into Wrath. There is one boost per account and it can be used on any class except Death Knights.
The Dungeon Finder feature has been removed after feedback from the community, along with Arena Teams in Wrath Classic.
All the changes and improvements made to the Barber Shop over the years from the original WotLK will be included from day one this time, rather than reverting back to its original state.
All of this is great to see as it shows a real willingness to listen to the community. We can't wait to take on this classic once again!
