Alpha testing for World of Warcraft's ninth expansion, Dragonflight, has begun. This means that fans of the popular MMORPG will be itching to get their hands on the early version of the game.
Luckily for them, the way to get in might be rather simple, although it might require some luck.
With that in mind, here's how to sign up for the Dragonflight alpha.
How to sign up for WoW Dragonflight Alpha
Just like signing up for the Dragonflight Beta, if you want to take part in the Alpha you'll need to request access. This is possible via the World of Warcraft: Dragonflight website.
All you need to do is click on the "Beta Opt-In" button and it'll direct you to the bottom of the website, where you'll click again.
Once that's done a "Thanks for signing up" message will appear in green words, confirming that you've opted into the WoW Dragonflight beta on the account you've signed into.
Here's a step-by-step:
- Go to the official Dragonflight website
- Click on the "Beta Opt-in" button towards the bottom of the website
- Doing so will take you to the bottom of the page and prompt a message stating "Thanks for signing up" where the sign-up button used to be
- That's it! If you get in you'll be notified via email or will be able to download the Alpha via the Battle.net launcher

Dragonflight Alpha Gameplay
As Blizzard announced today, the Dragonflight Alpha will be beginning with its "Phase One." This means that not all of the revealed features for the expansion will be available to be tested.
Players participating in this Alpha will be able to explore the Azure Span zone, test Dracthyr and its class, the Evoker, fly around with Dragonriding, implement the new UI Interface updates, and experience the new Talent Revamps for Death Knights, Druids, Hunters, Priests, and Rogues. Additionally, players will also get to see the new updated Alchemy and Blacksmithing professions.
