The previously Dracthyr-exclusive island north of the Dragon Isles, the Forbidden Reach, has finally become accessible to all thanks to World of Warcraft: Dragonflight's latest 10.0.7 update.
Coming in as one of the main features in patch 10.0.7, the Forbidden Reach will be the expansion's next—technically—new zone. Within it, players will be able to traverse through the Zskera Vaults, unlock their Ony Amulet, encounter all types of new mobs, and more.
Here's how to get to the Forbidden Reach in WoW Dragonflight.
How to get to the Forbidden Reach in WoW Dragonflight in patch 10.0.7
During Dragonflight's launch, and subsequently the 10.0.5 patch, the Forbidden Reach was only exclusive to the Dracthyr race.
Now, with patch 10.0.7, Dracthyr and non-Dracthyr alike will able to access the Forbidden Reach for the first time. Players can reach the Forbidden Reach in two ways.
With the launch of 10.0.7, players will be able to start a new main questline, the Hidden Legacies. Players can start this questline by going to the Seat of the Aspects in Valdrakken and hearing a report from the NPC, Kurazidaia. Upon listening to her report, Kurazidaia will give you the "Return to the Reach" quest. Once players have accepted the quest, they can go to Flightmaster Aluri in Valdrakken to take a ride to the Forbidden Reach.
The other way players can get to the Forbidden Reach is by Dragonriding. Players can make their way to the Forbidden Reach from the Waking Shore.
Players can make sure to have a surefire track to the Forbidden Reach by grabbing the flight path.
What content is there in the Forbidden Reach?
Once players have made their way to the Forbidden Reach and they've completed the storyline, players will have numerous activities to take on and content to enjoy.
This includes the brand-new Winterpelt Furbolg faction, which they use to earn rewards and items, the Zskera Vault, more rares and NPCs, and much more.
The Zskera Vault is a new standalone game mode that contains different enemies and loot each week. Within the vault, players can complete a questline that grants them access to the Onyx Annulet. The Onyx Annulet is a powerful ring that players can use to socket unique gems inside it called Primordial Gems.
