When does Valorant's new map Lotus come to the competitive queue?

Valorant has a brand-new map titled Lotus. The map currently isn't in the competitive queue due to how newly released it is.

The start of episode 6 cleared up months of speculation and lose leaks about the map.

Lotus is heavily inspired by Indian temple architecture and has some beautiful spots of design from the developer teams.

Since its release on January 10 2023, the map is only available in the new Swiftplay mode.

This will only be available to players for the first week of its release so that players can get to grips with the nooks and crannies.

So, when is Valorant's new map, Lotus coming to the competitive queue? Let's take a look at everything we know so far.

When will Lotus be Added to the Competitive Queue?

As of right now, Lotus is only available in the Swift play game mode and this will be the case for a whole week.

This allows players to get used to the map and find some new strategies before taking it to competition.

However, after a week, the map will enter the competitive queue right away.

So, if you're hankering to play the new map competitively, then January 18 2023 is the date to look out for.

This is also the date for patch 6.1, so it gives the developer teams some time to fix and small bugs or issues with the map.

Professional Matches on Lotus

January 18 2023 is also the same date that professional Valorant players can play on the new map.

However, the Last Chance Qualifiers for Valorant Challengers North America begins on January 17 2023.

So, it would be strange to see the new map being used in professional matches in January.

Our best bet is to wait until February after teams have had some training on the new map.
