Valorant agent updates
Below are the updates confirmed straight from Riot. It seems that they have noticed the issues with Phoenix in the game and are looking to make him more of a viable pick too.
Additionally, the shorter audio cue of KAY/O NULL/cmd also gives him more of a fighting chance to get a second life.
Phoenix
Curveball (Q) - Flash Max duration increased 1.1s >>> 1.5s. Flash Windup decreased .7s >>> .5s
Blaze (C) - Phoenix will now equip his weapon earlier if he stops bending his wall
Run it Back (X) - Phoenix will now spawn at the marker with the amount of shields he had when the ability was cast.
Yoru
Dimensional Drift (X) - Increased duration of ultimate 10s >>> 12s. Reduced unequip time 1.2s >>> 0.8s
KAY/O
FRAG/ment (C) - Zone diameter reduced 10m >>> 8m. Damage now applies without needing line of sight
NULL/cmd (X) - Now, only allies will hear the full channel audio of reviving KAY/O, while downed. Enemies will only hear a short audio cue when the revive has started.
Gameplay systems
The new smurf detection is being tested in North America first. However, testing begins on June 11 2022 and will adjust the mechanic for global rollout.
This means that rushing to a site will feel much better. No more of those scared shakes when moving forward.
New Smurf Detection functionality - This addition to our smurf detection systems is designed to make sure that new players (that means all new accounts) are matched up with players of the correct skill level, much faster than before.
Improved collision behaviour when walking next to or behind another player. - This should heavily reduce the amount of jitteriness experienced when moving close to your allies.
Valorant performance and bug updates
A performance issue has been fixed where having a setting on affected chat and the friend's list. Before this patch, having the 'Raw Input Buffer' setting caused scrolling in chat or the friend's list to move locations. This has now been resolved.
Bug updates for Yoru, Sova and Fade have also been added. Yoru will have his invulnerability cast as it should have been, directly after using Dimensional Drift.
Additionally, Sova will also have his Shock Bolt damage enemy traps and other in game objects. Fade will have her Haunt changed so it won't reveal enemies on the other side of a thin wall too.
