The username is a fundamental part of the gaming world and it's no different for Valorant. Your name is how the world sees you and sometimes, you'd really not like them to.
We've all been stuck with regrettable usernames and screen names in the past. Locked in with our regrettable choices unless we make some kind of purchase or make a new account. Luckily for Valorant players, it doesn't have to be that way. You can not only change your name free of charge but it's incredibly simple to do. Here's how.
How to Change Your Valorant Name
Changing your Valorant display name is a very simple process, the first step of which actually requires you to close Valorant entirely. There is no way to change your username from within the game. This is because All Riot Games products use a single RiotID.
This means that to change your username, you will have to go through the Riot Games website and change your RiotID across all available games but this shouldn't be an issue, especially if you aren't playing any other titles.
Click on the pen icon next to your name and then edit it to whatever your newly desired name is, along with a tagline if it is needed. After you have done so, be sure to save so you don't lose your name then reload Valorant. If all was done right, your new username should be updated straight away and you're good to do. Make sure you like the name you're changing to, however, as you can only change it once every 30 days.
