Riot Games have removed Split from the competitive Valorant queue due to a map exploit found by its players. Announced yesterday, the exploit has been giving some agents advantages in games.
The exploit is being hotfixed as we speak to bring back the popular map in the game as many agents miss out on their favourite. Luckily the official Valorant Twitter stated that 'You'll hear from us as soon as it returns'.
With many fans waiting for it to come back, here are some more details about the exploit that removed the map, Split.
What was the exploit?
Riot Games did not reveal the exploit, probably to avoid other agents abusing it in the game. However, fans are aware of the Jett updraft exploit and are attributing this announcement to that.
The exploit has been prominent in the game for some time, but now, as the popularity rises, Riot are bringing an end to it.
Many fans expressed relief on the original Twitter post, due to the unbalanced nature that came with this exploit. Riot's speedy reactions show just how loyal they are to their fans in fixing these issues as fast as possible.
When will Split be back?
The original Twitter post did not state a timeframe for the return of Split but Riot is usually speedy when it comes to fixes like this. So keep your eyes peeled in the next few days for the return of Split as it won't be too long.
With many Valorant fans stating that Split is their favourite map as well, then returning to the game should be speedy.
Despite the removal of Split, other maps such as Bind, Haven, Ascent, Icebox, and Breeze are still available to get that spike to do its job.
