Traditionally, video game releases are associated with console or PC releases, but the advancement of mobile tech has opened the door for gaming on the go.
For the mobile gamers amongst you, there is a ton of exciting titles set for release in 2020.

Arknights

The first big mobile game to arrive this year - Arknights.

Users will take up the role of an amnesiac doctor whose job title involves protecting and defeating invading forces in this Tower Defense style game whilst also being able to explore the world that the immersive story has to offer.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered

For those old-school gamers out there, the remastering of GameCube classic Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is as good a Christmas present as you could wish for.
The action role-playing game which was first released in 2003 has been remastered for release in 2020, including a mobile version which will be available to iOS users.
You don’t have long to wait either. The game is scheduled for release on January 23rd, so get ready to start collecting that fuel to protect the world from that darn Miasma!
Gods & Monsters
Release date: April 2020 - March 2021
Platform: Google Stadia
A storybook adventure which is set in a Greek mythological world, you will create your own hero and set out to save the fallen gods who have fallen at the hands of Typhon, the deadliest creature in the land.

The game will also be available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Windows, but despite meant to be arriving this February, it has been delayed until April 2020 at the earliest.
Genshin Impact
Release date: "2020"
Platform: iOS, Android
Anime fans fear not, there are plenty of big mobile releases due in 2020, beginning with miHoYo’s upcoming release: Genshin Impact.
A game which has drawn comparisons to the Legend of Zelda series in its graphics and gameplay, players will be able to explore an open world map and complete quests in order to unlock new characters.
The game will also be available on PS4 and Windows.
Super Meat Boy Forever
Release date: "2020"

Another long-overdue sequel coming to mobile in 2020 is independent video game Super Meat Boy Forever.
The game will focus on the mission to rescue Meat Boy and Bandage Girl’s child Nugget, who has been kidnapped by returning villain Dr Fetus.Whilst Team Meat had initially played for the release to be a mobile version of the 2010 platform game ‘Super Meat Boy’, the game quickly developed into a sequel for both mobile and console.
Diablo Immortal

Despite receiving an overwhelmingly negative reception when it was announced at BlizzCon 2018, Blizzard and developer NetEase has not been deterred, bringing Diablo Immortal back for a second showing at BlizzCon 2019 to a much warmer reception.

Though we’re still not entirely sure why Blizzard isn’t simply porting Diablo III to mobile, Immortal definitely looks the part.
Stranger Things

Now if you liked the concept of Pokemon Go but Pokemon wasn’t your thing, then the new Stranger Things game coming in 2020 might be the one for you.
Netflix announced in the summer's E3 gaming conference that they will be realising a mobile game in the New Year based on the hit TV series.Similar to Pokemon Go, you will be able to explore ‘The Upside Down’ as you go about your day, with plenty of hidden surprises and tasks to complete, all of which will be related to your real-life location. Pretty cool, right?
Pokemon Sleep

Pokemon fanatics fear not, for 2020 will see the latest release in the mobile Pokemon series in the form of Pokemon Sleep.

The ins and outs of the game are yet to be revealed, however what we do know is that it will track the amount of time you sleep and transfer that information to the game for ‘sleep-related gameplay’.
An affiliate of the smash hit Pokemon Go, this is sure to be an interesting release, to say the least.
League of Legends: Wild Rift

For the last decade, one of the most popular games on the PC has been the action-strategy game League of Legends.
However, in 2020, that experience is making its way to mobile as Riot Games announced the pending release of League of Legends Wild Rift.
The game will be based around its PC counterpart and will see players team together to achieve victory by destroying the Nexus of their opposition. The game will also be available on PS4 and Xbox One.
Minecraft Earth

Whilst the early access may have already dropped, the full release of the new Minecraft title is scheduled for 2020.
Similar to the classic Minecraft titles of years gone by, the aim of the game is for players to build structures and gather resources, using these resources to craft and explore their created world.
