New Story & Gameplay Trailers
The Resident Evil Showcase just gave us our best look at the Resident Evil 4 Remake so far, with a brand new story trailer and an extended look at the game in action which has left many fans excited for the title.
The remake appears to be taking a similar approach to the Resident Evil 2 Remake with large changes made to the game while still capturing the feel of what made the classic so special.
This is best seen in the gameplay trailer, which shows us a completely different opening to the game up until the village section which resembles the original title a lot more closely but with some twists thrown in to make things more interesting for returning players.
What is The Release Date?
For those wanting to get their hands on the game and adventure back into the mysterious villages and castles of Europe, the good news is you don't have to wait much longer.
Resident Evil 4 Remake will be coming out on March 24th 2023 and will be available on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Past-gen versions for PS4 and Xbox One were also confirmed at the 2022 Tokyo Game Show, releasing at the same time as the current-gen version.
Resident Evil 4 Remake and Resident Evil Village Coming to PSVR2
Another announcement from the latest State of Play Event comes in the form of PSVR ports for both Resident Evil Village and the Resident Evil 4 Remake getting PSVR2 ports. The Resident Evil 4 remake is not the current version of RE4VR currently exclusive to Oculus Quest 2 but a different game entirely version. It's unsure whether or not that version of RE4VR will ever be released on other headsets but given the remake is also getting the VR treatment. It's unlikely.
