The Jordan 1 Crater range looks set to add a second colourway to its collection with the upcoming "University Blue" release which combines dark and light grey panels with hints of bright blue.

This is not the only Jordan 1 coming this year, with the "Dark Marina Blue" due to arrive soon, making the following few months an exciting time to be a sneaker fan.

With that being said, here's everything we know so far about the upcoming Crater release...

Air Jordan 1 Mid Crater University Blue Release Date

The official launch date is yet to be confirmed by Nike for the "University Blue" Crater colourway.

However, reports suggest a 2022 release is on the cards, with some speculating we could see them arrive as early as February.

The original Jordan 1 Crater dropped on 12 August 2020 and, while it's not much to go off, it could give some indication as to the rough date we'll see the "University Blue" debut come February.

With so much speculation, make sure you check back in to find out all the latest news on this sneakers release date.

Air Jordan 1 Mid Crater University Blue Design

One of the key differences that set this mid-top "University Blue" Crater apart from a regular Jordan 1 release is that it has been made using 20% recycled content by weight.

This partly-recycled design falls in line with Nike's 'Move To Zero' campaign, an initiative first started in 2019 with the aim to achieve zero carbon and zero waste through sustainable manufacturing.

This eco-friendly message is reflected back into the look of the shoe, with a unique grey canvas base teamed with synthetic suede overlays.

You then get contrasting bright blue stitching over the classic Swoosh made from Nike Grind which gives it the speckled appearance, and the same blue hue around the tongue and collar.

The whole shoe then sits on top of a white Crater Foam midsole and a familiar Nike Grind outsole to round off the overall recycled style.

Air Jordan 1 Mid Crater University Blue Price

Without an official listing, it's hard to say exactly how much the "University Blue" Crater will cost.

However, based on previous releases, it is estimated that a men's pair will cost around $130, but this is subject to change with more information surfaces.

Where To Buy Air Jordan 1 Mid Crater University Blue

It's highly likely the first place we'll see these basketball shoes drop is at the Nike US Store under the Jordan or basketball subsection.

We'd also recommend signing up for the push notifications as soon as the listing goes live on the SNKRS page or App so you're completely prepared for the drop.
