With the Atlanta Hawks season off to a good start, it was only a matter of time before star man Trae Young and adidas revealed the point guard's next signature sneaker, the Trae Young 2.0s, for the 2022/23 campaign.

The shoes follow on from Young's first collection; however, it would appear adidas has upgraded the sneakers in a number of key areas to help create what will likely be one of the best basketball shoes on the market once they're released.

One upgrade that catches our eye is the introduction of Boost in the heels to combine with adidas' Lightstrike midsoles to deliver an explosive first step without feeling weighed down during take-off.

How else do the Trae Young 2.0s differ from the first installment? Well, we'll cover more on that a little later on. For now though, here's everything we know about the release of the 2.0s so far...

adidas Trae Young 2.0 Release Date

The adidas website currently has a listing live for the core black and solar green iteration of the Trae Young 2.0s which are available to buy for adiClub members as of 1 November 2022.

We'd recommend signing up to the adidas website if you're interested in a pair and acting fast as there's a chance the shoes could sell out quickly depending on available stock.

If you're undecided on whether to purchase them or not, then make sure you take a closer look at the design below.

adidas Trae Young 2.0 Release Date Design

As touched on, the first of the Trae Young 2.0s have been revealed in a mostly black colourway combined with solar green and light blue accents across the midsoles.

On the topic of the midsoles, they feature the aforementioned Lightstrike cushioning with adidas' Boost foam to enhance the levels of comfort on the court and deliver a greater energy return during take-off.

The shoes also continue the laceless design from the original Trae Young's which, in combination with the adaptive fit SCK360 knit uppers, should mean you're getting a lightweight yet secure fit for a less restrictive feeling on the court.

It's also worth noting that 25% of the components used to make the uppers are made with a minimum of 50% recycled content in a bid to continue adidas' goal to end plastic waste by 2025.

So, if you're after a lightweight and comfortable set of sneakers for basketball that are also made sustainably, then these Trae Young 2.0s might be the shoes for you.

adidas Trae Young 2.0 Release Date Price

With the listing live on adidas' website, the brand has confirmed that the Trae Young 2.0s cost $140.

This is a slight rise in price from the Trae Young 1s which currently cost $130. However, the price rise is perhaps to be expected due to the number of upgrades adidas have made for the Trae Young sequel.

With this in mind, here's where you can get hold of the 2.0s once they're released...

Where To Buy The adidas Trae Young 2.0 Release Date

As mentioned, the Trae Young 2.0s are listed on the adidas website right now, with the shoes available to buy if you're an adiClub member.

Alternatively, we'd recommend checking out the resale market at StockX if you're looking for another place to purchase a pair come release day.
