After early images of James Harden's seventh signature sneaker were revealed in 2022, we now have more information regarding the release of the adidas Harden Vol. 7.

The shoe was first photographed by NBA player photographer Cassy Athena, however, adidas has now confirmed the shoe's arrival, with the Vol. 7 launching in three bright, bold colourways.

Moreover, the sneaker is said to be inspired by the past as well as the future, although all the innovations still have their roots firmly planted in adidas' “Remember The Why” ethos brought in at the start of the 2022/23 NBA season.

With all this in mind, how exactly does the Harden Vol. 7 compare to some of the best basketball shoes on the market right now? Well, let's dive into everything we know about the shoe to find out...

adidas Harden Vol. 7 release date

Despite rumours that Vol. 7 would potentially debut at the start of the 2022/23 NBA season, adidas has now confirmed that the sneaker is available as of March 2, 2023.

The shoe had initially debuted in the "Luxury Red" and "Metallic Silver" colourways, but more designs, including, presumably, the photographed yellow sneaker, are set to drop late this year.

With two amazing colourways to choose from at first, picking which Vol.7 to pick up may not be easy. Let's take a closer look at the designs to help you decide...

adidas Harden Vol. 7 designs

As mentioned, the Harden Vol. 7 has been officially unveiled in three colourways so far, with the "Luxury Red" and "Metallic Silver" designs leading the way for the launch.

The "Luxury Red" colourway is, unsurprisingly, dressed in red, with everything from the new Jet Boost midsole to the padded textile quarter panels arriving in this standout tone.

To offset the red, the sneaker also features a black knit around the bootie, tongue, and two-layer heel counter that then makes its way down to the sole unit.

The second "Metallic Silver" design is essentially the same, although the bright red hue is switched to silver as the colourways name suggests. This is also the case for the untitled yellow release.

On top of the aforementioned technology, the Vol. 7 also features full-length propulsion plates for comfort and protection, whilst also improving acceleration. This is then teamed with the multi-directional herringbone-patterned sole for better traction off the mark.

Finally, the shoe features Lightstrike materials on the midsole for added responsiveness and cushioning on the court, thus making this an excellent pick for game day.

adidas Harden Vol. 7 price

When early images of the Vol. 7 were revealed, the price remained a mystery. However, with adidas debuting the sneaker, we now know that Harden's seventh signature shoe costs $160 in adult sizing.

It doesn't appear as though smaller and potentially cheaper kids' sizes are available just yet though. We'll make sure we keep this article updated though if this changes over the coming weeks.

For now, here's where you can pick up the adidas Harden Vol. 7...
