The next PS Plus games are right around the corner, with Sony revealing the next free games very soon.
Here is what we know about the PS Plus games for March 2021.
Latest News - State Of Play Event Announced
Sony have announced that on February 25th they will be holding a State of Play event.
The event will see Sony showing off new trailers for upcoming PS4 and PS5 games, as well as some exclusive reveals and announcements.
We are expecting to see key first party titles such as God of War: Ragnarok showcased, as well as new information on third party titles such as Kena, Hogwarts Legacy and Resident Evil 8.
Ratchet And Clank Free For All PlayStation Owners Next Month
In a blog post, Sony announced the return of the Play At Home initiative and that it will run for four months, giving players many free games during that time.
On March 1st, all PS4 and PS5 players will be able to download Ratchet and Clank for free to keep forever.
Players don't need PS Plus to play it, like many of the free games that are given away.
Reveal Date
The next batch of PS Plus games are expected to be revealed at 11:30am EST/4:30pm GMT on Wednesday, February 24th.
Release Date
February's games will be available until March 1st, this means that the next batch of games will go live on March 2nd.
Except for Destruction All-Stars which will remains on the service until April.
The Games
Each month Sony release two new PS4 games to the service, along with one PS5 game.
All of the PS4 games can also be played on PS5 via backwards compatibility.
So far we have seen PS5 games such as Worms Rumble, Maneater and Control added to PS Plus.
Once the games are officially revealed we will update this, but for now, check out our predictions here.
February's Games
Last month Sony knocked it out of the park when it came to the PS Plus.
February 2021 saw,
- Destruction All-Stars (PS5 Day one release)
- Control (PS4/PS5)
- Concrete Genie (PS4)
This isn't the first time that we have seen a new game release on day one on PS Plus.
In 2020 we saw Fall Guys, Bugsnax, and Worms Rumble all release on PS Plus on day one.
Control is also a fantastic game, rated as one of the best single-player games of the last three years and one that many players have been eager to play, especially taking advantage of the PS5's power with the next-gen update for the game.
And Concrete Genie is a highly regarded game too.
So Sony has really outdone themselves this month, could this mean that we will see lower quality games next month, or will Sony continue to go from strength to strength when it comes to building the service?
With Microsoft really stepping up their Xbox Game Pass service with the addition of EA Play and the acquisition of ZeniMax, along with the inclusion of many AAA titles every month, Sony definitely needs to bring their A-game each and every month when it comes to PS Plus.
