We're nearing the official announcement for April's PS Plus games and it looks like the cat is out of the bag early once again!
PS Plus has been a pretty good service over the last few years but, it may change substantially soon. Either way, here's what we know about PS Plus in April 2022.
Latest - April's Games Leaked?
It looks like our friends over at Dealabs have once again leaked the PS Plus game a little early. The games on offer are set to be;
- Slay the Spire
- Hood: Outlaws & Legends
- SpongeBob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated
Our Predictions
Although we haven't received any good leaks just yet, we have a few predictions to make.
Given Tiny Tina's Wonderlands launches at the end of the month, we expect to see Borderlands 3 come to the service. In the same vein, with Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga launching in April, we're expecting a Lego game to come out too.
PS Plus April 2022 Announcement & Release
Luckily, Sony follows quite a strict set of timings for each PS Plus announcement and release. We can expect the official blog post detailing the games on Wednesday, 30 March. The games will then be available to download for free on Tuesday, 5 April.
Each month the announcement comes on the final Wednesday while the games are free to download the following Tuesday. The only time this changes is when the final Wednesday of the month is positioned so that the following Tuesday wouldn't be part of the next calendar month.
April 2022 PS Plus Free Games
As we float around the middle of March there are currently no leaks or strong rumours to suggest which games will be part of PS Plus in April. There was an attempt to start a rumour that Ghostwire: Tokyo would be slightly delayed to launch as a free game but we can safely say that this will not be happening.
The best place to look for early leaks is on Dealabs where plenty of previous months have been leaked with great accuracy. That doesn't mean that every month will end up posted to the site but for now, it's the best place to get ahead of the official announcement.
We'll keep you up to date with the latest news, leaks and reveals once they happen!
