Sony has confirmed that a new PlayStation State of Play Showcase will take place next week.
The stream will take place on Wednesday, October 27 at 5:00pm PT / 10:00pm BST and PlayStation has revealed what kind of news we can expect.
PlayStation State of Play - October 27
Unlike the previous State of Play, which revealed Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine, next week's show will "be focusing on announcements and updates for upcoming third-party releases headed to PS5 and PS4."
It'll also be shorter than the last event, with October 22's being around 20 minutes in length.
As the PS Blog states, the State of Play will "share new looks at previously announced games, plus a few reveals from our partners around the world."
Therefore, don't expect any news on Horizon Forbidden West, God of War Ragnarok, Spider-Man 2, or Wolverine.
PlayStation Plus Lineup Reveal
Interestingly, this new State of Play may change when we see the reveal of the PlayStation Plus free games for November 2021.
The reveal should come on Wednesday, but we wouldn't be surprised if that is delayed until Thursday so that PlayStation can reveal the full lineup during the State of Play stream.
That doesn't leave us any wiser about what the games might be, but don't be surprised if we're left waiting on Wednesday afternoon.
We already know that three additional PSVR games are coming to the service to celebrate the headset's 5th anniversary, so maybe we hear more about that during the State of Play
We'll update you on Wednesday with the latest info as soon as we can.
