Even though it's the weekend the PlayStation news never stops as starting today players will be able to play one of the most highly anticipated games of 2021.
The eighth entry in the classic Capcom series, Resident Evil Village, launches next month but ahead of its release players can jump into a new demo of the game.
But be quick, you only have a set amount of time to log in and an even shorter amount of playtime.
Here is everything you need to know.
Resident Evil Village New Demo
During the recent RE Showcase event, it was revealed that a new demo for Resident Evil Village would be coming to all platforms.
PlayStation 4 and 5 owners will be able to play the demo before other platforms starting April 17th.
But, there is a catch, the PlayStation demo is only available in 8-hour increments and is only playable for 30 minutes before it locks, much like the Resident Evil 2 One-Shot demo.
After this period of time, players will then have to wait until May 1st to be able to play the demo again when it unlocks for other platforms, this time giving players one hour of game time.
It is possible that PC modders will be able to unlock the timer, but with the demo only being available for one day it would seem pointless unless they can keep it online too.
There isn't much logic behind doing the demo this way, RE2 did the same thing yet RE3 didn't.
The good news is, Resident Evil Village launches on May 7th so there will only be a few days before players can jump into the full game.
Resident Evil Village will release on May 7th on PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Google Stadia, and PC via Steam.
