At long last, Overwatch 2 is finally here and if you—like many—have begun making your preparations by taking time off, pre-loading the game, and more, it's worthwhile to make sure that your PC meets the game System Requirements.
Overwatch, like most if not all PC games, follows a set list of System Requirements. With it, players can know if their rig will be able to run the game smoothly or if it will struggle. Seeing as Overwatch 2 is giving the now six-year-old franchise an update, it's good to know how it'll run.
Here are Overwatch 2's System Requirements.
Overwatch 2 System Requirements
Although Overwatch 2 is giving the game some seemingly significant upgrades graphics-wise, the overall minimum System Requirements aren't as bad as what you may think.
It's important to note that these system requirements are taken from the first Overwatch 2 beta as the developers over at Blizzard haven't updated them since.
Here are the minimum system requirements:
- Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit (latest Service Pack)
- Processor: Intel Core i3 or AMD Phenom X3 8650
- Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 600 series or AMD Radeon HD 7000 series
- Memory: 6 GB RAM
- Storage: 50 GB available hard drive space
- Internet: Broadband internet connection
- Resolution: 1024 x 768 minimum resolution
All in all, it's not a major shift from the first game to the next. However, it's worth noting that unlike Overwatch 1, Overwatch 2 will not run on Windows 7 or 8.
When it comes to recommended system requirements, the requirements that Blizzard themselves recommend to players for Overwatch 2 run more smoothly.
Knowing that, here are the recommended system requirements:
- Processor: Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 5
- Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 600 series or AMD Radeon HD 7000 series
- Memory: 6 GB RAM
That's it. With this, you'll know if your PC will be able to run Overwatch 2.
