Sandbox games have a massively loyal fanbase, and that is true for Re-Logic's Terraria.

Released nine years ago, players struggle for survival by digging, fighting, exploring, and building. Now a new update is coming, and it's one that is claimed to be the last for the game.

Terraria Journey's Actual End

Launching today, the patch will reportedly be the final one for the game, nearly 10 years after its first release.

The update will apparently include the "final NPC, new achievements, lots of balance changes, bug fixes, new vanity, and the long-requested game credits (done Terraria style)!"

What could be coming?

Not a lot has been confirmed, but there are few suggestions and hints that some exciting additions will be coming to the game.

There may be an item that is made by combining the Royal Delight and the Regal Delicacy that summons both pets.

A lava-proof Angler Tackle Bag has also been hinted at.

Is this really the end?

The last patch landed back in May, and the game has changed a lot thanks to these updates.

It's tough to imagine that this really is the last piece of content the game will be adding as it still has a very big core of players and is still available on basically every platform for just £6.99/$9.99.

We hope there will be more to come in the future from this game.
