The Director's Cut of Borderlands 3 launched last week, which refreshed excitement for 2K's shooter.
Ratings board, PEGI, had rated the new version of the game for Nintendo Switch last week, so players were interested in the prospect of the game coming to the hybrid console.
Below, we've got everything you need to know about whether Borderlands is coming to Nintendo Switch.
Borderlands 3 on Nintendo Switch
While a Switch version seemingly leaked via PEGI, it is supposedly a mistake and no such version is going to release.
While 2K and PEGI have not commented on it directly, Gabe Gurwin of Gamespot says he spoke to a representative at 2K, who told him that it was a mistake.
Gurwin's tweet doesn't suggest that it was just a mistakenly early announcement, or that 2K simply won't comment yet.
It sounds like Borderlands 3 is simply not coming to Nintendo Switch and the listing by PEGI was a mistake, which would make a lot of sense.
Of course, if that ever changes, we'll be sure to let you know. I wouldn't get your hopes up though.
Director's Cut
If you're new to Borderlands 3, now would be the perfect time to pick it up and give it a try because the Director's Cut has just launched.
In the new version, you can "take on a colossal raid boss, solve interplanetary mysteries, earn new themed loot, and go behind-the-scenes on the making of Borderlands 3."
While it's not out on Switch, you'll be able to play it on PlayStation consoles, Xbox, and PC.
