But among so many great cards, it becomes very hard to know which ones to choose. They all possess great attributes, but there are some key differences between them. These differences make some cards stand out more than others.
We took a look at all the cards in the Team Affinity program, and after a depth analysis, we found the best cards. There are six Team Affinity packs, and we select the best card from each pack. Worth noting that, all these Team Affinity cards can be obtained in multiple challenges, across all the game modes of Diamond Dynasty.
Wander Franco (97 OVR)
Team: Tampa Bay Rays
Age: 22
Wander Franco's attributes in this Team Affinity card are absolutely astonishing. He has some insane batting stats, accompanied by great fielding, and solid speed. The Tampa Bay Rays player also has some great quirks, especially when compared to the other cards in this pack.
As you can see in the above picture, he has great control versus right-handed and left-handed pitchers. His vision attribute is also impressive with 123, and his 109 clutch stat is what makes him the best card in this pack. Franco is a great Shorstop, whit diamond hitting and defence. Even if he is against a legendary pitcher, Franco will find a way to hit the ball consistently.
Javier Baez (97 OVR)
Team: Detroit Tigers
Age: 30
Fielding, batting, you name it, Javier Baez can do it all. The Detroit Tigers Shortstop has a very well-rounded card. He has decent speed, a strong arm, quick reactions, and spectacular fielding. In the batting department, Baez is also very good. He excels against left-handed pitchers and is also very good versus right-handed ones.
The clutch attribute is very important in MLB The Show 23. So, the fact that he has an impressive 107 clutch stat, means his an even more valuable card. Similar to Franco, Baez can easily make contact with the ball. The fact he can play in four different secondary positions also comes in handy.
Jeremy Pena (97 OVR)
Team: Houston Astros
Age: 25
Similar to Baez, Jeremy Pena also has a very well-rounded card. He can hit, and field at a very high level, and his 99-speed makes him great for stealing bases. His impressive fielding ability, very quick reactions, and decently strong arm, make him one of the best Second or Third Basemen in Diamond Dynasty. However, it's at the Shortstop position that Pena can showcase all his talent.
Pena's batting ability is also off the charts. The Houston Astros player has great power and contact versus left-handed pitchers. However, his stats versus right-handed pitchers are also not far behind, making him a nightmare for opposing teams. With diamond hitting and defence, you want to have Pena on your team.
Jeff McNeil (97 OVR)
Team: New York Mets
Age: 30
Jeff McNeil is arguably the best card of the Team Affinity program. The New York Mets player has some spectacular fielding attributes. With a strong arm, reflexes as fast as a cat and an incredibly accurate throw, McNeil can play every outfield or infield position at an elite level.
What makes McNeil's card even better, is his hitting skills and the plethora of quirks he possesses. His contact against left-handed and right-handed pitchers is great. Combined with his high vision, high clutch, and being able to play in four secondary positions, McNeil's card is one of the best in the game right now.
Tommy Edman (97 OVR)
Team: St. Louis Cardinals
Age: 27
The St. Louis Cardinals star player has a very well-rounded card, similar to Baez and Pena. He has the best fielding attributes of any card in the Team Affinity program, with 99 fielding, 96 accuracy, 99 reactions, and a subpar 65 arm.
Tommy Edman is lightning-fast, and with an 86 rating on the steal attribute, opponents can't take their eyes off him. When it comes to batting, Edman is also very good, especially against left-handed pitchers. However, the most impressive thing about this Edman card is the fact he can play in five secondary positions.
Dustin May (97 OVR)
Team: Los Angeles Dodgers
Age: 25
Dustin May is a pitcher you want to have in your team. He checks all the boxes of a great pitcher. Great at making the ball shift direction just before crossing the plate, can throw extremely fastballs, and allows few home runs, bats, and walks. Furthermore, he has very high stamina, meaning he can pitch at an elite level for a very long time.
May fiddling ability is not that impressive, but his pitching stats more than make up for it. He is a great card to use as starting pitcher and will be an upgrade for the majority of teams in Diamond Dynasty.
