MLB The Show 21 is closing in on launch, and it's already looking like one of the most exciting sports games of 2021.
This will be the first year the former PlayStation exclusive franchise lands on Xbox consoles, and we now know that includes MLB The Show 21 on Xbox Game Pass.
How long will MLB The Show 21 be on Game Pass?
While it's official that MLB The Show 21 will be on Xbox Game Pass on day one when the title launches on April 20, 2021, we don't yet know when it's leaving.
Xbox has yet to reveal the length of time it'll be on Xbox Game Pass, and there's not much precedent for this kind of day one release to tell us what they're planning.
Xbox Game Pass titles sometimes stay for as long as a year or leave much sooner, and all we know for sure is Xbox will signal the game's departure from the service a few weeks to a month prior to it leaving the service.

Do you lose MLB The Show 21 if it leaves Xbox Game Pass?
This is one of the fears when MLB The Show 21 finally does exit Xbox Game Pass, especially as players invest time into the game while it's available through the service.
Xbox Game Pass doesn't operate like a game streaming service, but instead downloads the full title to your console, which means it will create save files like any normally purchased game.
Players will have to buy the game if they hope to continue playing after it leaves Xbox Game Pass, but their progress should remain intact and not be reset.
