Will Ark 2 be Xbox Exclusive?

Fortunately for Xbox fans, but not so much for everyone else, Ark 2 will be exclusive to Xbox at launch. Studio Wildcard announced their partnership with Microsoft Gaming recently, which ensures that Xbox will be the only place you'll be able to play the new title at launch.

While this certainly doesn't rule out the game coming to other platforms, it does mean there will at least be a delay. We can expect PC players to receive the game next, as Microsoft gaming also handles PC launches.

The studio has confirmed that PlayStation and Switch will also be able to play the game in time.

There will likely be up to a year wait for other platforms, however, so if you're looking to play Ark 2 while it's still fresh, consider investing in an Xbox Series S.

Will it be on Xbox Game Pass?

Even better news for Xbox fans, it looks like Ark 2 will be available on Game Pass at launch, and will stay around for a while. Documents included in Microsoft's acquisition of the studio show that the game will be featured on release, and for quite some time after.

While games normally only stay on Xbox Game Pass for around a year at a time, the latest title from Studio Wildcard will stay on Game Pass for at least three years. This will give fans plenty of time to complete the story of Ark 2 and everything besides.
