Naughty Dog's iconic Uncharted 4 looks like it's going to be the next PlayStation exclusive title to make its way to PC platforms. Here's everything we know following the latest Earnings Report from Sony.
Uncharted 4 on PC?
We've already seen Days Gone make a huge impact on PC, so it makes sense for Sony to continue their development of adapting existing PlayStation exclusive titles for PC platforms, right?
If you look at Slide 26 of this PDF presentation, you'll see everything you need to know. Releasing PlayStation games on PC is just one of the "New Growth Vectors" being planned by Sony as they continue to push for market dominance.
This could coincide with some sort of next-gen performance patch on PlayStation 5, but don't quote us on that. We just know that a similar chain of events occurred when Days Gone was being ported to PC. However, that is the more recent release.
Any More Clues From The Presentation?
Sadly, there's not really too much else we can take away from the PDF presentation linked above. A lot of it is just reporting on PlayStation's growth margins and profitability.
There was a rumour that it confirmed the God of War sequel's title, but this has since been corrected and the presentation just shows "God of War" when referring to the upcoming release.
There are some fun facts though, although none of it is really surprising.
- PlayStation's PS5 launch was the highest ever launch year sales for a new console.
- The proportion of female PlayStation console owners is up from 18% for the PS1 to 41% for the PS4/PS5.
- The PS5 has Sony's strongest post-launch release line-up to date.
- The PS4 accounted for 95% of the PS Store's sales in FY20.
It's worth taking a better look if you're interested in the financials of PlayStation, but if you're looking for any new release dates... Sadly, there isn't anything to report.
