Street Fighter is getting the Secret Lair treatment from Magic: The Gathering

The long-awaited Street Fighter Secret Lair from Magic: The Gathering has finally been revealed. We have seen some artwork from the initial announcement last year but now have new artwork and the promise of a pre-order date that is coming soon.

This may also play into a countdown timer that's been running on the Capcom website. The time is set to end on Sunday in correlation with the end of a Street Fighter tournament on the same day. While many have speculated that the reveal will be Resident Evil related, could it be a complete swerve and instead be Street Fighter 6?

Street Fighter Secret Lair Details

With a tweet from the official Street Fighter Twitter account, we saw brand new artwork for Ryu. We're still yet to see anything of great substance other than character artwork but that's been enough to get fans excited on both sides of the spectrum.

Magic: The Gathering fans are keen to see how this collaboration pans out and Street FIghter fans are loving the chance of pace when it comes to merchandise and collectables. We're still also due to see the Fortnite x Secret Lair product in 2022.

Is Capcom's announcement Street Fighter 6?

Now moving on to the Capcom Countdown. This time is set to end on Sunday, 20 February. This is also believed to be when the Capcom Cup Season Finals will finish meaning the timer could lead us to a Street Fighter related announcement.

It would be very strange for Capcom to tease something in the style of Resident Evil then have it be Street Fighter, but in an industry where secrets are hard to keep, why not change things up a bit.

We'll soon know which way things have worked out and will bring you any news, leaks and reveals from the Capcom Countdown as it breaks.
