Will Forspoken be Open World?
The good news for fans is that yes, Forspoken is an Open World game, and by the looks of it, an epic one at that. Built for next-gen, the game takes fantasy action to a whole new level, with magical combat and traversing being the main focus.
While the gameplay is front and centre though, the world of Athia is at your fingertips, and ready to explore. The game plays host to a collectible system that will encourage you to delve into the deepest parts of the world and add tons of hours of gameplay to devoted players.
The exploration in Forspooken will be aided by the newfound abiolities that Frey, your character, has found herself with. Mastering these and how they interact with the terrain and structures will be crucial in getting the best out of the game.
Setting
The land of Athia plays host to all of the gameplay in Forspoken, and will be yours to explore and conquer. You'll be tasked with ridding the land of the force that has overtaken it, using the tools you have.
After arriving in Athia, Frey soon learns this beautiful land once flourished under the reign of benevolent matriarchs, called Tantas, until a devastating blight relentlessly corrupted everything it touched.
The Break transformed animals into beasts, men into monsters, and rich landscapes into four dangerous realms. At the center of their shattered domains, the Tantas now rule as maddened and evil sorceresses.
