FM 16 Premier League Wonderkids: Best XI

Premier League Wonderkids best XI. We've already given you Europe's best wonderkids, but understandably, it can be hard to decipher which one's are the best to buy. Not all wonderkids live up to their potential, so, for every league, we've come up with a starting XI of the best wonderkids for you to sign. If you're thinking of starting a new game save, check our other two guides:

Lineup = (Woodman, Bellerin, Oxford, Suliman, Shaw, Maitland-Niles, Diaz, Roberts, Grealish, Perez, Wilson).

GK - Freddie Woodman (Newcastle)

Woodman can be signed for as little as £1m, so is a good signing for pretty much any team you choose to start a game save with. He eventually becomes a solid shot-stopper, but one you may need to send out loan in the first season or two.

RB - Hector Bellerin (Arsenal)

Bellerin is one of the wonderkids from FM15 bound by the unfortunate reality of the player simply getting better, which means he will cost at least £15m to sign on FM16; a lot more than what you paid in the last game. But then again, he's one of the best players on this in this list (at the time of your game save starting), so he's ready to make a difference from the word go.

CB - Reece Oxford (West Ham)

Oxford is the cheapest bargain on this list, as you only have to pay a £1.1m compensation fee to sign him, and with 5-star potential, I don't really need to say anymore.

CB - Easah Suliman (Aston Villa)

You'd only have to part ways with a fee in the region of £2.7m-5m if you wish to sign the young 17-year old, who can also play at left back. He is a slight gamble here, so if you have at least £20m to play with, go for Kurt Zouma or John Stones instead.

LB - Luke Shaw (Man Utd)

Shaw comes with one big red flag - his injury curse, which has ruled him out for the season already, but luckily FM16 doesn't account for that. So if you can look past his huge transfer fee, you may just have signed one of the best wonderkids in the entire game.

CM - Brahim Diaz (Man City)

Like Oxford, you only need to pay a £1.1m fee compensation fee to sign him, but he is still only 15, so won't be ready for at least a few seasons. Within 5 years however, he should be a full-time Spanish international and worth at least ten times what you paid for him originally. A win-win all round.

CM - Ainsley Maitland-Niles (Arsenal)

Maitland-Niles is currently on loan at Ipswich, but when he returns to Arsenal in 2016/17, he will be 18 and probably have a good amount of Championship games under his belt. His transfer fee may be dependent on how successful his loan move is at Ipswich on your game save, but with 5-star potential, he's worth the gamble.

AMR - Patrick Roberts (Man City)

Roberts might be the hardest player on this list to sign, as Man City just signed him for £5m, so unless he becomes one of those flops you bring back to life in a season or two, you may have to pay a hefty fee for him later on. A questionable gamble, but one which could have high returns.

AML - Jack Grealish (Aston Villa)

Grealish can be signed for £12-18m, so comes a slightly larger price as far as wonderkids go, but should be ready to make a difference in your side from the word go. He is also uncapped, 19 and English, so even if his move doesn't see him reach his 4.5-star potential, he should still net you a tidy fee should you choose to sell him.

ST - Ayoze Perez (Newcastle)

Of all the players on the list, Perez is one of the more expensive ones, so depending on your negotiation skills, you'll have to spend between £16-28m to sign him. He's still just 21, has a season of Premier League experience behind him and will soon become worth his weight in gold. Can you get the best out of him?

ST - James Wilson (Man Utd)

Wilson is already a known FM star, and rightly so, because in a few years, he will be one of the best strikers and England's number 1, at least on FM anyway. You may have to spend big to sign him, and it at first it may look pointless spending £20m+ on a player who won't be able to repay that fee for a season or two, but if you're in this for the long term, like this guy was, he's worth that gamble.
