Balan Wonderworld was revealed last year and is a music themed platformer, developed by Balan Company and Arzest.
Some of the developers who are working on the game are best known for their work on the Sonic The Hedgehog series, as well as Phantasy Star, Nights Into Dreams, Pikmin, and Yoshi.
Release Date
Balan Wonderworld was announced in July 2020 during the Xbox Showcase event.
The game is currently scheduled to launch on March 26th 2021.
Platforms
It has been confirmed that the game will be multi-platform.
Balan Wonderworld will be released on PC via Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

The trailer has a theatrical feel to it and really emphasises the impact that music will have on the game.
In the trailer we see that there will be over 80 unlockable costumes, granting new abilities.

From what we can see in the trailer, Balan Wonderworld has a Super Mario Galaxy and 3D Sonic feel to it, which is definitely not a bad thing considering the Galaxy series is critically acclaimed and highly regarded among fans.
Demo Launching Next Week
Ahead of its release on March 26th, Square-Enix have announced that a new demo for the game will be launching next week.
The news was announced on Twitter, where they revealed all of the details about the new demo.

A demo will be available to download on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Steam on January 28, 2021!
Play alone or local co-op with a friend and get ready to enjoy the magic that is #BalanWonderworld.
This news also seemingly confirms that the game won't have online co-op, instead being confined to local co-op.
