AEW Fight Forever roster to add removed tag team in DLC after launch

We recently learned the AEW Fight Forever roster would be missing a major tag team at launch, but there's hope on the horizon.

Here's everything we know so far about the AEW Fight Forever DLC that is expected to grow the roster after launch.

AEW Fight Forever roster to add FTR back in as post-launch DLC

With the launch likely set for the coming months, the AEW Fight Forever roster continues to take shape with new game previews and reports rolling in.

One of the less positive stories in recent weeks was the revelation that FTR, the duo of Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, would not actually be in the game at launch.

We've got more details here on why capture issues may have been the cause of FTR missing the cut and how it could impact others.

MORE TO COME: The roster should continue to grow after launch

With the loss of FTR at launch appearing to be down to time constraints and having the game polished and prepared for the impending release date, there was early speculation about potential DLC.

According to the latest report by Fightful Select, that's indeed the case as they stated "the working plan is now for FTR to be added as DLC."

With FTR themselves commenting on the situation and being very understanding once it was explained to them, this could've been on deck for some time.

AEW Fight Forever roster will be missing other key tag teams

In addition to the FTR news, the same Fightful Select report gave us an update on some wrestlers that currently aren't likely to make the roster at launch.

Among them are longtime AEW teams Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen), The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster), and the pairing of Santana & Ortiz.

In addition to that, Fightful also stated Evil Uno and Jake Hager won't be ready in time for the first build of the game that's released at launch.

It's not known if any of these wrestlers are expected to make the roster in DLC along with FTR, but the precedent makes it very possible.

We learned of a few more roster members thanks to the Gamescom 2022 preview of the game, but it's not clear when more official AEW Fight Forever reveals are planned for.
