Minecraft 1.20 is almost here, and Trails and Tales promises to be one of the most exciting updates we've seen in some time. New mobs and a whole new biome are confirmed to be on the way, along with a ton of other features never before seen in Vanilla.

How to Download Minecraft Trails and Tales Java Snapshot

If you're keen to try out the new Cherry Blossom Biome and all the new mobs arriving with the update, it couldn't be easier. The first step is to open your launcher and make sure your game is backed up if you're planning on using a previously used world.

Players need only open up the Minecraft Launcher and enable snapshots in the ‘Installations’ tab. From there, click “New Installation,” select Minecraft 1.20 Snapshot 23W07A, in the drop-down menu, and click create. Your new snapshot installation will now be a selectable option before clicking play.

However, 1.20 snapshots have a few extra steps. Once in the game, click “Create New World,” then select “Datapacks,” and enable the built-in “bundle” and “update_1_20” datapacks before clicking “Create New World” again. Finally, with the new world made, all that’s left is to select it and click play!

How to Download Trails and Tales Bedrock Beta

You can play the Minecraft Trails & Tales Bedrock Beta on PC, Xbox, or Android. To download it and get access, you’ll need to follow these steps.

  1. Install and launch Minecraft Preview.
  2. Click Play Preview.
  3. Create a new world.
  4. Click on Experiments under the world setting before finalizing the new world.
  5. Toggle Next Major Update on.
  6. Press create and enjoy.
