Worlds 2022 main event is getting ever closer, and for now the lower seeded teams are battling it out to make it there. Despite some Day 1 upsets, many big names are now back on form and holding strong.
With a day of Play-In Groups still to go however, everything is still up for grabs. Almost all teams are within touching distance of a chance of making it to the group stage. Let's take a look at all the results and standings from day 3 of Worlds 2022.

Worlds 2022 Play-In Day 3 Results
Group A
In Group A, the results were as follows:
- LOUD 1-0 Fnatic
- Beyond Gaming 0-1 DetonatioN FocusMe
- Evil Geniuses 1-0 Chiefs Esports Club
- Chiefs Esports Club 0-1 Beyond Gaming
LOUD gaming pulled off a striking upset against Fnatic early, with Brance and his 'Bot Gap' callout at the helm. Prioritising the Miss Fortune and Amumu combo that has worked for them so well, Fnatic's bot-lane was simply outclassed.
DFM pulled off a nail-biting win against rivals BYG to draw level with them in Group A. The game came down to the wire, but infernal soul and Baron finally allowed them to bring home the win. Yutapon's Kai'sa was a sight to behold, finishiing 12/3/11.
Group B
In Group B, the results were as follows:
- MAD Lions 1-0 Saigon Buffalo
- Royal Never Give Up 1-0 Isurus
- Royal Never Give Up 1-0 İstanbul Wildcats
- Isurus 0-1 DRX
MAD Lions were able to pick up a very important win against SGB to continue to contest the top of their group. With both teams drafting for fights, it was MAD's execution that was superior. Elyoya on the Hecarim was the deciding factor in many skirmishes.
RNG was able to pick up 2 wins to draw level with MAD in Group B. Wildcats put up a fight, but ISG was just business as usual for RNG. The whole team stepped up to the plate, but Xiaohu in particular was a standout.
Worlds 2022 Play-Ins Day 3 Standings
In Group A Fnatic and EG now sit level for 1st place, and there is a 3 way tie for second place. Everything is still up for grabs for all teams going into Day 4, as any team can make it into the tie breakers.
In Group B, DRX still stands strong in 1st. MAD and RNG are close behind, and the SGB is still in contention in 4th. Wildcats and Isarus are now out of contention, having not picked up a game at Worlds.
Play-Ins will kick off for Day 4 once again at 3 pm CT, 9 pm BST.
