ADC champions are a crucial part of LoL as they can easily turn the game in their favour if played skillfully. These characters rely on damage, attack speed, and critical hits to dominate their enemies.
Although it's easy for them to farm currency and experience, it's important to know which champions are the best ADCs in the game. With every game update, some characters may become weaker while others become stronger.
So, if you want to stay up-to-date with the latest changes, the LoL ADC tier list for Patch 14.5 can help you with that.
ADC tier list
As mentioned above, each patch brings new changes to LoL. This does not apply to all characters, but some of them may become more powerful or weaker, which changes the meta. To make sense of it all, we have prepared a tier list for you, where we have categorized each ADC into a specific category from S to C.
League of Legends ADC Tier List for Patch 14.5
S
A
B
C
D
When choosing a champion before a match, focus on those listed in the S or A tier. They are the best champions in the game for their role and will lead your team to victory if you skillfully master them.
Champions from the B tiers are more situational, with some being great counter-picks. As for the C and D tier, they are the worst options, with poor stats and effectiveness in combat, so avoid picking them.
With Patch 14.5, Kog'Maw has been greatly buffed, and that pushes him up on our tier list. Sivir is receiving a modest buff as well, with her base armor increased from 26 to 30. Additionally, Samira has adjustments made to her Q and E abilities.
LoL best ADCs in Patch 14.5
Kog'Maw (S)
Kog'Maw, typically a niche ADC, is especially effective at eliminating tanks and has a strong advantage in outranging opponents. While he may face difficulties when dealing with highly mobile assassins and early-game skillshot disables, he has received several buffs in Patch 14.5 to increase his viability.
There's an increase in his passive movement speed from zero scaling to 40%, now scaling from 10 to 50%, as well as a change in Q cast time to match his auto attack timer.
Add a 10% increase in E slow at all ranks, and a buff in minimum AD ratio from 65 to 75%, and that pushes Kog'Maw into the S-Tier. Although each change seems minor individually, collectively, they are expected to boost Kog'Maw's win rate by at least a percentage point.
Kog'Maw has a win rate of 50.52%.
Swain (A)
An exceptional CC chain can be achieved if Swain or a teammate successfully applies CC to a target. This strategy is particularly effective against immobile carries. By utilizing Nevermove (pressing E twice), you can follow up and bring the enemy closer.
Through the use of Vision of Empire, he is capable of regenerating a significant amount of health, allowing him to outlast his opponents in the lane. The effectiveness of this is further enhanced by Swain's Ultimate, Demonic Ascension, which amplifies this healing effect and proves highly effective in confined spaces during combat.
Additionally, he can employ Vision of Empire to facilitate ganks for his Jungler. This enables him to catch up to his target while also providing a valuable vision of the surrounding area. The latter aspect is particularly advantageous for controlling objectives.
Swain has a win rate of 52.87%.
Yasuo (B)
When the enemy is pushed up and a new minion wave is approaching, Yasuo becomes very powerful. He can utilize his Sweeping Blade to catch up to his opponent and then knock them up with his Steel Tempest. This strategy also allows him to easily set up ganks.
Additionally, by playing around his Wind Wall, Yasuo can effectively counter ranged champions and avoid taking unnecessary damage. Against melee opponents, it is advisable to maintain some distance.
After reaching level six, Yasuo's strength increases significantly thanks to his Ultimate Last Breath crowd control and bonus armour penetration. When combined with his item powerspikes, he becomes a formidable force, even if he is behind in lane.
Yasuo has the highest win rate (53.62%) of all LoL ADC tier champions.
Kalista (C)
Kalista is a great skirmisher because of her passive and ability to kite enemies with ease. She just needs to avoid getting CC'd. When taking objectives, the chance of her team losing the objective fight is low due to Kalista's Rend combined with her Jungler's smite.
Simply put, she excels at taking objectives quickly and securely. Kalista can also save her Support with her Ultimate Fate's Call if they overextend in the lane. The ultimate can also initiate crucial fights, especially when the enemy team is clumped up or fighting in closed spaces.
Kalista's win rate is just below 50% (49.97%), but that is enough for the best rate among the C-tier champions in LoL ADC.
Varus (D)
Varus has a unique ability to poke and farm from a long distance with Piercing Arrow while remaining safe. This can be really annoying for the enemy team, and it helps cover up the champion's immobility.
Additionally, the champion's kit includes an inbuilt Grievous Wound and a Hail of Arrows ability that slows down enemies, making it easier to deal with healers and engage with support champions. This can be a great advantage in team fights.
Varus' Ultimate Chain of Corruption provides utility for the team and can help secure key picks to close out the game. The projectile moves swiftly, making it easy to land.
With a win rate of 48.85%, Varus is the best option among D-tier LoL champions in ADC.
