After a chaotic LCS 2022 Spring Split regular season that had Team SoloMid miss the playoffs for the first time in the organization's history, newcomers Evil Geniuses and FlyQuest barely scrape by, and had Team Liquid take the first seed in last-minute fashion, the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) is finally heading to the Spring playoffs.
With that in mind, here's the LCS 2022 Spring Playoffs bracket and schedule.
LATEST - 100 Thieves and Team Liquid advance
LCS aficionados were treated to some mixed results this past weekend as during the 2022 LCS Spring Split playoffs both of the series at hand could have not yielded such different outcomes.
This resulted in 100 Thieves continuing their hot streak after they routed a Cloud9 that wasn't looking like they had all split long and Team Liquid besting a surprising Evil Geniuses in a hell of a grudge match.
100 Thieves will face off against Team Liquid to guarantee a spot in the finals while Cloud9 and Evil Geniuses will fight for their lives against Golden Guardians and FlyQuest respectively.
LCS 2022 Spring Playoffs Bracket
The postseason will host a total of six teams that all fought tooth and nail to earn their chance to hoist the 2022 Spring Split finals trophy. On top of that, the winner will get to represent the North American region at the year's first international League of Legends event, the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational (MSI).
As for the bracket, the top four teams will have two lives in the bracket with the double-elimination format, while the fifth and sixth seeds will start out from the lower bracket.
This year's LCS Spring Playoffs will have Team Liquid, Cloud9, 100 Thieves, Evil Geniuses, FlyQuest, and Golden Guardians participating and have all been seeded according to their regular season placements. The seeding goes as follows:
- Team Liquid
- Cloud9
- 100 Thieves
- Evil Geniuses
- FlyQuest
- Golden Guardians
All of the six teams have been placed accordingly on the bracket. Thanks to Leaguepedia, here's how it looks.
Team Liquid will be looking to repeat their 2022 LCS Lock In performance against Evil Geniuses while Cloud9 will want to showcase that their late-season fall was a fluke when they face the reigning 2021 LCS Summer champions 100 Thieves in the upper bracket. The winners of both of these matches will move onto the semifinals while the losers will be forced to play for their lives in the lower bracket.
This leaves the fifth and sixth seeds, FlyQuest and Golden Guardians, awaiting their opponents once the two matches above culminate.
