Every couple of months fans speculate about new champion releases for League of Legends. It could be the smallest comment from a Riot employee that sparks an array of conversation. Or in this case, Reddit pages. Let's have a look at the suspected champion "Nilah".
It has been speculated that a brand new ADC will be arriving in patch 12.13 or 12.14. She is a water-themed melee ADC, which brings a nice break from the typical ranged ADCs that are so popular right now.
Fans are gaining excitement as descriptions from Riot of "a colourful but deadly stranger who came to Runeterra from a land across the seas" seems to clarify that the leak was accurate.

Where did the leak come from?
The leaker, Big Bad Bear, who is known for leaking assets for League of Legends posted this on his Twitter account...
This, translated to English, says how he loves the name Nilah and is hoping for her to be balanced in order for him to be able to play her.
Fans speculation
Fans have done some research on the possible new champion already. In a youtube video by The Big Bad Bear he analysed her name. He found that in Arabic it means "water hyacinth" and it also is an Indian name which means "blue".
The theme of water is heavily proposed in these speculations, and the tie in hints from Riot seem to secure her place in the game. But whether this comes to fruition or not is unknown.
The hype around her has led to Reddit streams already being created for Nilah called r/Nilah and r/Nilahmains. The user who created them, PixelButts, had a similar process with Bel'Veth which he created before her official release.
Despite all the evidence pointing to yes, it seems unlikely that Riot will introduce two new champions this close to each other. With Bel'Veth's release tomorrow in 12.10, it seems that 12.14 may be a little too soon for Nilah's release.
With all the information we have not being verified, it's hard to know what will happen in the upcoming patches. But who knows? Maybe the meta for melee ADCs will reign supreme once again.
