Halo Infinite: How to Fast Travel

For the first time, Halo has embraced the popularity of open world with Halo Infinite. Not only can you explore at your own rate, hunt for collectibles, and take over enemy bases, but you can even fast travel to get around quickly. If you're wanting to cross large areas of Zeta Halo quickly, here's how to fast travel in Halo Infinite.

It's worth noting that you won't be able to fast travel right from the start of the game. You'll have to wait until you make it out of the first enclosed area, once you can see grass and trees, to start fast travelling. Even then, you'll still have to unlock fast travel points to do so.

How to Fast Travel in Halo Infinite

Fast travelling becomes possible once you start taking over enemy Forward Operating Bases, or FOBs for short, out in the open world.

When you take over and claim FOBs or other outposts, they'll appear as grey icons on the Halo Infinite over-world map and you'll be able to fast travel between them to get around quickly.

By pressing the view button on your Xbox controller, you can bring up your map and look for the FOBs you've claimed for Master Chief and his friends.

What you'll notice is that you can press A to fast travel to it, which is shown in the options at the bottom of the screen.

Simple press A with the FOB highlighted and you'll be there after a brief loading screen. You can fast travel as often as you'd like, but you'll need to capture the bases before you do so.

There aren't that many FOBs to capture and fast travel between, and many won't be in helpful places for missions you're on, but they're there when you need them.
