How To Join The New Car Meet?
At the moment, we don't know exactly how you're going to be able to join the LS Car Meet in GTA Online following the Los Santos Tuners update. Rockstar Games has shared the following, so far...
" To get started, you’ll need to visit a non-descript, graffitied warehouse on the edge of town in Cypress Flats — listen close and the sound of engines revving might give it away, or look for the makeshift finish line on the road outside."
We can imagine that this interior social space will work in a similar way to other interior spaces in GTA Online, though.
This means, you should find a marker outside the entrance to the building the LS Car Meet is located in and this will take you to a new instance of the game which is exclusively the weapon-free Car Meet. We don't think this is going to be as seamless as it should be, as GTA Online has numerous loading screens at the best of times.
We should learn more when the Los Santos Tuners update is released. Rockstar Games has to keep some secrets, right?
Los Santos Car Meet Confirmed
The Los Santos Car Meet in GTA Online is becoming a reality right before our eyes. Los Santos Tuners has just arrived and this is what Rockstar Games had to say about it all:
" On July 20, the automotive underground roars to life with GTA Online: Los Santos Tuners. Featuring the LS Car Meet, where you can race, show off customized vehicles, and link up with contacts looking for skilled drivers and a chance at easy money."
This additional content is going to feature Car Meets, Jobs, Races, and more from July 20th onwards. There's going to be 10 new cars available at launch with another handful added in the coming weeks.
When Is The Car Meet Due To Take Place?
At the moment, this is all we have been told officially by Rockstar Games:
" GTA Online's forthcoming summer update includes the Los Santos Car Meet, the beating heart of car culture in Southern San Andreas. Keep an eye out on the Newswire for more information coming soon."
As you can imagine, this isn't as helpful as it seems. Luckily, it arrived today on July 20th.
Take this with a grain of salt, but we suggest keeping your eyes peeled around then for more information.
Where Will the Car Meet Go Down?
We may not have anything too expansive in terms of coverage on the Los Santos Car Meet, but one eagle-eyed fan has managed to spot where it looks like everything is due to take place by looking at the images shared in Rockstar's latest Newswire post.
As you can see below, it looks like we're headed to this... Road. Many fans are expressing caution as this isn't exactly the safest place to have a Car Meet in GTA Online (if there even IS anywhere safe.)
However, there are people comparing this to one of the earlier scenes in 2001's Fast & Furious movie and they are assuming that weapons will be disabled within a certain area/radius of the event.
