In Genshin Impact 3.1, travelers will explore Sumeru's desert, the land of the Red King. This will be a total change of landscape for players, especially coming from the vibrant rainforest.
The new region will introduce a high level of realism, as Hoyoverse's developers traveled to a desert to be able to recreate its environment directly.
Over the sand, in the scarce water, and inside the ruins of an ancient civilization, we will find new species and specialties throughout the journey.
One of these valuable Sumeru Specialties in the desert will be the Scarab.
This guide pinpoints all Genshin Impact Scarab locations in Sumeru, and the best uses for these pesky bugs.
Genshin Impact Scarabs Farming Guide
Ready to start the search for Scarabs? Here's what you need to know.
Scarabs in Genshin Impact
Scarab is a local specialty from Sumeru Region. They are only found in the desert area of the Dendro Nation.
These bugs are unique. Despite being World Materials, they are animated as other animals in the game. They can be found pushing a ball of dirt, and they can even hide, avoiding being caught.
Scarab Locations in Sumeru
Scarabs are found exclusively in the Sumeru Desert, some walking on the dunes and others inside the ruins of King Deshret Temples.
The best location to collect Scarabs in Genshin Impact 3.1 is the dunes surrounding the King Deshret Mausoleum, including the Sobek Oasis.
The Valley of Dhari is also an excellent location to pick Scarabs as they can be found near the Statue of the Seven and the teleport waypoint.
The map below shows the location of all Scarabs in the wild.
There are 72 scarabs in the wild. They will respawn every 48 hrs. Unfortunately, no shop in Sumeru sells Scarabs.
