A new patch packed with a ton of new content is on the way to Genshin Impact, Ver. 2.6!
But before players get their hands on all the new content, Genshin Impact servers will go down for maintenance downtime until the next update is live.
Here is everything players need to know about the Genshin Impact 2.6 maintenance schedule including server status, free Primogems rewards, and all of the latest news approaching launch.

Genshin Impact servers will soon go down ahead of the launch of Genshin Impact 2.6.

Genshin Impact 2.5 Maintenance starting time
Server Maintenance Schedule
Genshin Impact servers will go under maintenance on March 30, 2022, at 6:00 am at server time (Chinese Standard Time).
In other time zones, Genshin Impact servers will go down at:
- March 29, 2022, 3:00 pm PST
- March 29, 2022, 6:00 pm EST
- March 29, 2022, 11:00 pm GMT
Servers will be down for around 5 hours, and players will receive compensatory Primogems for the time they cannot play the game.
Free Primogems for Genshin Impact Server Maintenance
Travelers will receive 60 Primogems for each hour the servers are not available. However, if the game is back online before the 5 hours scheduled. Players will still obtain a minimum of 300 Primogems.
Additionally, miHoYo gives 300 Primogems compensation for all the bug fixes found in the previous update. So, travelers who log in to the game after the maintenance will receive 600 Primogems, almost 4 wishes.
Free Primogems will be delivered to each player by in-game email. In addition, if the maintenance takes more than 5 hours, extra 60 Primogems for each hour of delay will be added.
Genshin Impact 2.5 Preload Available Now
Genshin Impact players can start preloading the next update. The ver. 2.6 file size is around 3.05 Gb for Android and IOS and around 6.0Gb for PC players.
PC users can continue playing while they are downloading files. Unfortunately, there is no preload option for Playstation Players.
Genshin Impact 2.6 Banners
These are the Banners released at the same time as Genshin Impact 2.6:
- Azure Excursion will feature Kamisato Ayato - 5-star Electro, Catalyst character.
- Ballad in Goblets will feature Venti - a 5-star Anemo Bow Character.
The following 4-stars characters complete both banners:
- Yun Jin - 4-star Geo, Polearm User
- Sucrose - 4-star Anemo, Catalyst User
- Xianling - 4-star Pyro, Polearm User.
The first weapon banner will feature one bow and the new 5-star sword.
- Haran Tsukishiro Futsu 5-star sword, the signature weapon of Kamisato Ayato.
- Elegy for the End 5-star bow is an exciting niche weapon.
The following 4-stars weapons complete the banner:
- Rust - Bow
- Flute - Sword
- Sacrificial Greatsword - Claymore
- Widsith - Catalyst
- Dragonbane - Polearm
Second Phase
For the second phase of Genshin Impact 2.6, we will receive only one rerun, Kamisato Ayaka.
The Second Weapon Banner will feature the Mistsplitter Reforged 5-star sword, the signature weapon for Ayaka.

Genshin Impact 2.6 Events
Genshin Impact 2.6 will release The Chasm, a new region with new creatures, enemies, and mechanics.
With the opening of Borders, Liyue characters will land in Inazuma for the celebration of the Irodori Festival.
Dainsleif and the Spiral Abyss are back for a new chapter of the Archon Quest. The story will let breadcrumbs about the upcoming characters: Yelan and Kuki Shinobu.
Not everything is about exploration and story. Genshin Impact 2.6 will offer chances to prove our fighting skills, lay back a bit, and play in new exciting events.
