The massive Genshin Impact 2.0 update is finally here, and it is the largest Genshin Impact update to date!
It brings the new Inazuma region, as well as many new characters, weapons, items, bosses, events, and more for fans to dive into.

Latest - Genshin Impact 2.0 Is Live Now
The Genshin Impact 2.0 update arrived on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at the following times:
- 11 p.m. BST (July 20)
- 6 p.m. EST
- 3 p.m. PST
There was some extended maintenance that meant the update was delayed slightly, but it is live now.

Patch Notes
The official Patch Notes for Genshin Impact 2.0 have not been released yet, but players can expect the following in the update:
New Characters
Three new characters join Genshin Impact in the 2.0 update:
- Ayaka: 5-Star Cryo Sword
- Yoimiya: 5-Star Pyro Bow
- Sayu: 4-Star Anemo Claymore
New Bosses and Enemies
One new boss will join the ranks of the currently available Genshin Impact bosses, and one boss will be moving locations.
- Pyro Hypostasis
- Maguu Kenki (Will move from the Golden Apple Archipelago to Inazuma)
New Quests
New Story Quests will be available for:
- Ayaka
- Yoimiya
New Region
The Electro nation of Inazuma finally comes to Genshin Impact in version 2.0, made up of six different islands:
- Narukami Island
- Kannazuka
- Yashiori Island
- Seirai Island
- Tsurumi Island
- Watatsumi Island
Several key areas of the region include:
- Grand Narukami Shrine
- Moushoujin Gorge
- Tatarasuna
- Mt. Yougou
- Inazuma City

New Domains
Several new Domains arrive with Inazuma:

Genshin Impact 2.0 will introduce two new events while also rerunning several popular events from previous updates:
- Thunder Sojourn
- Phantom Flow
- Theater Mechanicus Rerun
- Lost Riches Rerun
- Ley Line Overflow Rerun

The release of Inazuma also features new weapons and artifacts:
- 5-Star Weapons
- Mistsplitter Reforged (Sword)
- Thundering Pulse (Bow)

- Hakushin Ring (Catalyst)
- Amenoma Kageuchi (Sword)
- Hamayumi (Bow)

New Features
Genshin Impact 2.0 is also releasing a slew of new features, including:

Nintendo Switch Release Date
A Nintendo Switch port of the game was expected to launch in September when Genshin Impact came out of beta.
Unfortunately, this version was delayed, and so far, there has been no official release date set.
Rumors are circulating that miHoYo is having trouble getting the game to run smoothly on Nintendo's current hardware and may be awaiting the announcement and release of the Nintendo Switch Pro.

Genshin Impact has been an utter revelation since it launched.
This open-world action role-playing game developed and published by miHoYo was derided when first revealed.
This free, multiplayer, and fully cross-platform game is arguably one of the biggest break-out hits from 2020.
