It looks like our first little peak at Fortnitemares 2022 may have come in a promo image for next month's Crew Skin.
We'll keep an eye out for more developments during Season 4!
Fortnitemares 2022 Start Date
As of writing, there is no date confirmed for the Fortnitemares event in the battle royale version of Fortnite but Save the World is beginning to be worked on already according to leaker HYPEX, with Fortnitemares Llamas getting introduced.
What we do know is that Fortnitemares will be introduced sometime in Season 4 of Fortnite battle royale, with the current season ending far too soon for the event to take place.
Fortnitemares Leaks
As is usually the case for big Fortnite events, rumours are flying about what could possibly be coming in this upcoming event but nothing has yet to be verified by multiple sources.
One of the rumours that have been circulating involves the famous 80s horror icon of Freddy Kruger, suggesting that the finger-knife-wearing dream slasher could become a skin in the game.
While this isn't entirely out of the question, with other horror icons like Xenomorphs from Alien and Predators both also making their way into Fortnite, nothing has been confirmed in regards to Kruger.
He does remain one of the more likely candidates when it comes to horror crossovers, however, with the Elm Street house being a great potential POI for the new map. There is also the incredible name potential of Fortnitemares on Elm Street, which is honestly worth the crossover alone with or without the skin.
Keep checking this post for any new updates as they happen.
