Server Downtime for Fortnite 17.30 is over and Patch Notes are available

concerningFortnite Season 7 continues! The 17.30 update is out now and it looks like you should be able to jump back into Epic Games shooter. Server Downtime is over and the detailed patch notes are now available.

The patch notes for Update 17.30 are now available and break down, in more detail, all of the changes to the Battle Royale, Save the World and Creative modes.

Server Downtime Is Over

Fortnite's 17.30 update is out now and the Server Downtime has finally ended. It was a shorter downtime than most, but that doesn't mean it was a smaller update.

Skin Challenges relating to Superman were added to the game, hints at a new wave of Suicide Squad skins were uncovered, and it looks like a few locations are about to be abducted!

Oh, also, the GRAB-ITRON should now start popping up in-game. As you can see, it's one serious bit of hardware.

First look at Slurpy Swamp

We have our first look at the now abducted Slurpy Swamp POI courtesy of @FortniteBR on Twitter.

While the images show the POI raised into the sky as expected, we're still unsure what has been left in its place. Is it just a crater or has smooth land been left? Only time will tell.

How long with Downtime last?

The server downtime for Update 17.30 could take anywhere up to 4 hours. Usually, the servers are back online within 2 but this update has been scheduled slightly earlier which makes us think that servers may be down for longer than usual.

What will Fortnite Update 17.30 bring?

Straight off the bat, we know that Update 17.30 is going to kickstart the POI abduction event in-game. Three POI have been confirmed for the abduction so far by leakers and the first is set to be Slurpy Swamp.

The abduction will likely see the POI raised into the air like floating islands like seen in a brief glimpse during the Fortnite X Suicide Squad trailer. We're not yet sure what will be left on the ground in its place.

Rift Tour Updates

There isn't expected to be any major additions in relation to the Rift Tour as part of Fortnite Update 17.30. All of the content for this event should have been added last week during 17.21, hence why downtime was likely needed for that update also.

The Ariana Grande Icon Series skin is set to go live on Wednesday, 4 August and the Rift Tour will then begin on Friday, 6 August. Last-minute rumours suggest that she will not be arriving alone for the Rift Tour and other artists, like Lady Gaga and The Weeknd could be joining her on stage.
