Fortnite Update 15.30 Update - Epic Games has revealed more about update 15.30.
Although official patch notes never arrive from Epic Games, we do now have more info about the Superhero skin which has been altered to reflect the issues mentioned previously (further down this page).
A message on the skin now reads:
"We've made some changes to this outfit. If you are no longer satisfied with your purchase you can request a refund anytime before Mar 4, 2021 using the in-game flow (No refund token required). Thanks for playing!"
Original Story Follows - Fortnite update 15.30 hasn't been given a release date for players, but we do suspect the next big patch could be set to drop this week.
The 15.20 update was released on Wednesday January 13th.
We might have seen a 15.21 update drop since then, but that covered only a few minor changes.
It seems pretty likely we'll see something more substantial released this pretty soon.
Normally new updates for the game are announced fairly late for folks in the UK, so who knows, maybe this time tomorrow we'll have the new update in our hands.
For the time being, if you're wondering what sort of changes Epic Games could make to the game, there's not an awful lot to go off.
However, we do know at least one key update the developers plan to make.
Goodbye Boundless Set
Many seasons ago, Epic Games introduced the Boundless Set, which afforded Fortnite players to loads of customisation options.
More recently players have been using this to their advantage, namely, using all white or all black sets to gain "a competitive advantage".
Essentially, the skins acted as camouflage, blending players into their surroundings at various places on the map.
As you can imagine, fans were not too happy about this and Epic has at long last issued a statement confirming that a change is forthcoming in the 15.30 update.
Epic Issue Statement
On the Fortnite Trello board, Epic Games told fans:
“It was brought to our attention that Outfits in the Boundless Set included color combinations that could compromise the competitive integrity of matches. As a result, we’re planning to make minor cosmetic adjustments in our next update. We’ve made some adjustments to the materials, and you will no longer be able to have white/white or black/black color combinations when selecting your primary and secondary colors.
If you are no longer satisfied with your purchase, you can request a refund anytime within 30 days of your first login after the 15.30 update (no refund token required).
We’ve also made some tweaks to interior lighting in the game to compliment these changes. Thanks for the continued feedback”.
Fortnite update 15.30 is expected to drop later this week and it could also be bringing Snake Eyes (From GI Joe) as the next big character/skin.
Stand by for more details and more fleshed out official patch notes as they become available.
