With tonnes of skins, map changes and new modes making their way to the service, it can sometimes be a little hard to keep up. Here's when you can play Fortnite Season 8 and how big the update download size is.

Fortnite Season 8 Release Date

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 is due to start on September 13th, 2020, today. With some spooky new theming, this should be fun to play over October. The update will arrive worldwide on all platforms around the same time.

How to get the Update

The answer to this depends on what platform you play on. If you play via the Epic Games Store on PC, you can simply click on the Fortnite icon and it will give you the option to update the game.

On Xbox, click on "My Games and Apps", then over to "Manage" and "Updates" to find Fortnite there. On PlayStation, click start on the game and then look for the update. On Android, go into the store and find your updates tab. Finally, the Nintendo Switch should automatically do it but you will have to close your game to get it.
