Winterfest 2020

It has now been revealed that Winterfest won't be called Winterfest this year, instead it is now known as Operation Snowdown.

Players will be given Operation Snowdown challenges to complete, which will grant XP and cosmetics, including two free skins.

There is also another event called The Spy Within, which will grant even more free cosmetics.

Players who complete all of the Operation Snowdown challenges will receive the Snowmando and Frost Squad skins for free.

Trailer

Ahead of the launch of the new event, Epic Games has released the trailer for Operation Snowdown, giving players a glimpse at what to expect.

Planes Have Returned

The X-4 Stormwing hasn't been seen in game since Chapter 1 Season 7 ended in early 2018.

Season 7 was also winter themed, which introduced the snow biome to the Chapter 1 map.

They have finally made a return to the game, whether they stay beyond Operation Snowdown we're not sure.

But for now, fans of them have a chance to use them again.

End Date

Operation Snowdown is set to end on January 5th, giving players around two and a half weeks to check out all of the new additions to the game.

This will likely be the final update to the game in 2020 as Epic Games usually takes time off over the holiday season.
