It feels like agest since the Fortnite Season 7 competitive window came to a close but finally, we have our first major cup of Season 8. The PlayStation Cup will begin soon and we've got all the details you need before you set off and dominate the competition.
Table of Contents
If you've never entered a Fortnite Cup before, specifically one with cash prizes, there are a few things you'll need to be aware of.
PlayStation Cup Start Time
Session 1 of the PlayStation Cup will take place between 16:00-19:00. If you qualify for Session 2, this begins at 20:00 and finishes at 23:00. For Session 1 you can play up to ten matches and for Session 2 you can play up to six.
In your matches, scoring as many points as possible to finish among the top 100 players is the goal. This is how you progress to the next stage and give yourself a chance at a prize.
How to Register
There is no official registration process but you will need to do some account admin before entering. For any Fortnite Cup with prizes, you need to have 2-Factor Authentication enabled.
You also need to be over 13 years of age but must be 18+ to play without parental consent. If you have any reports of bad behaviour or competitive bans on your account, you will not be allowed to play either.
When the time comes and the Cup is live, you simply need to change the game mode over to the PlayStation Cup. If you do not meet any of the criteria to play in the tournament, you will not be allowed to queue for a match.
