Fortnite: How to Get Feathers & What They Do

The Fortnite 19.20 update is now live and one of the biggest addition is the ability to begin unlocking all the masks of Chapter 3 Season 1 Battle Pass outfit, Haven. Another addition to the game is Feathers, which have a role to play in unlocking the masks. So that you can unlock them quickly, here's how to get feathers and what they do in Fortnite Chapter 3.

How to Find Feathers

Thankfully, feathers are really easy to find, so we don't need to explain much here.

In short, they can be found in chests of any kind, so just start looting and you'll find them in no time. You should also be able to loot them from any other players you eliminate.

Using Feathers to Unlock Masks

As we said before, the features you collect during matches can be used to unlock Haven masks.

Simply head to the Haven's Masks section of the Battle Pass tab. As Epic explain, "each mask has a special Quest for you to complete to make the mask available to redeem. For example, catch fish to unlock cat masks, forage to unlock deer masks, glide to unlock owl masks, and more!"

"Each mask’s Quest can be found in the “Haven’s Masks” Battle Pass section, and every mask is unlockable all the way ‘til the end of Chapter 3 Season 1." Epic also note that you need to have unlocked the main Haven skin before you start working on completing the quests. You can still collect feathers and begin hoarding them to spend, however.

Therefore, before using the feathers you've collected, be sure to check the quest you need to complete for the mask you want to unlock.

You might as well complete the quests in question while you hunt for feathers to save yourself a little bit of time.
