While the Fortnite Week 8 Legendary quests start quite tame, they soon pick up and you're suddenly being asked to collect an access card from an IO guard. Slone even points out that this can not look like an inside job due to the high stakes nature of the act.

This can be a tricky quest to complete early in a match, so let us help you with some tricks and tips on how to collect an access card from an IO guard in Fortnite.

IO Guard Locations In Fortnite

There are satellite stations on the Fortnite map that house multiple IO guards. While you may think this means they're the best place to go, they can also be pretty dangerous. If you alert a guard and others are around, you can become outnumbered very quickly.

If you're going to visit a satellite station, make sure you're well equipped or can take out a single guard very quickly to avoid detection.

Alternatively, you can try and take on an IO guard at an outpost. The most reliable one to visit is at The Aftermath with is the giant purple section right in the middle of the map. There is an IO outpost set up there with just two guards and usually an IO chest.

Collect Access Card From An IO Guard

To collect an access card from an IO guard, you simply need to eliminate the IO guard. They have decent firepower but slow reactions. So if you can pick them off from a distance with a sniper rifle or high-grade assault rifle, it makes the task much easier.

The access card item should be a guaranteed drop from an IO guard, provided you haven't already completed the quest. The item has no use outside of the quest so will not drop again once you have completed it.
