We've got the breakdown of everything you need to know about FNCS Season 8...
UPDATE - Hype Trailer Released
Fortnite have released a brand new hype trailer ahead of the launch of the FNCS for Season 8.
FNCS Season 8 Dates
Season 8 of the FNCS will start on Thursday, 14 October. Changes to the structure this season mean that there will only be two Qualifiers followed by one week of competition. This is where the Semi-Finals and Finals will take place.
Qualifiers - October 15-17 & October 22-24
The top 5 teams from each Qualifier skip the Semi-Finals straight to the FNCS Finals.
Semi-Finals - October 28-29
In another change to last seasons event, only the top 66 teams will compete in each region. Day 1 consists of four matched in each Heat. The top 4 teams in each Heat after Day 1 are straight through to the Finals.
Day 2 of the Semi-Finals will act like the Reboot Round from past seasons. There are 6 games per Heat (12 in total). The winners of each game progress to the Final.
Finals - October 30-31
The FNCS Finals are unchanged with one exception. Unlike previously the top 3 regional teams in the Finals will NOT auto qualify for the next season's FNCS Final.
Other than this, it's the same with 6 games per day and the top team after two days of competition win the FNCS.
Prize Pool
The prize pool per region is broken down according to the popularity and skill level of that region. There is $3,000,000 in total up for grabs across all regions. The breakdown is as follows;
FNCS Grand Royale Event
